Roles we play... Would they resolve our innermost purpose?

no, not at all. we may play the role of a mother of 3 or a woman who never marries etc, etc. even for our entire life and that has nothing to do with our spiritual life. it just has to do with our Karma. that is all. and we can transcend Karma. to live in the world of AKarma.
