Gun law question regarding a minor?

Alright I live in Minnesota and I was wondering if I could have a gun unloaded cased and in the bed of my truck(I'm 15 now turning 16 in a few months). Like let's say I'm going from my cabin to my aunts farm to hunt coyotes, is it legal for me to have the gun in the bed of my truck(with a topper so it won't get wet). Or if I get pulled over will I get into a bunch of trouble. Just a rifle or shotgun no Pistols all owned by my dad. Thanks
